🇷🇴 Toată relația noastră cu Domnul (însă) stă în iertare. Cel care oferă iertare se aseamănă lui Dumnezeu, căci aduce înviere în sufletul celui iertat. Îl învie pe aproapele său din angoasa deznădejdii! Hristos a venit pe pământ nu ca să-i vindece trupește pe toți, ci, înainte de toate, ca să-i ierte! Această iertare poate vindeca toate durerile de zi cu zi ce par de nedepășit. Cel ce înțelege taina iertării, înțelege că Domnul a venit să șteargă păcatul acestei lumi tocmai prin iertare.

🇬🇧 All our relationship with the Lord is founded on forgiveness. Whoever offers forgiveness becomes like God, for he brings resurrection into the soul of the one who is forgiven. He raises his neighbour from the anguish of despair. Christ came into the world not in order to heal everyone physically, but above all to forgive. This forgiveness has the power to heal all the burdens and pains of daily life that seem impossible to overcome. Whoever understands the mystery of forgiveness understands that the Lord came to take away the sin of the world precisely through forgiveness.

🇷🇴 Sâmbătă, 28 februarie, Înaltpreasfințitul părinte Atanasie va participa alături de ierarhii ortodocși ai Marii Britanii și Irlandei la Vecernia Pan-Ortodoxă pentru Duminica Ortodoxiei, un moment de rugăciune și comuniune care aduce împreună cler și credincioși din diferite comunități ortodoxe, într-un duh de unitate și comuniune.

Slujba va avea loc la ora 18:00, la Catedrala Înțelepciunii Dumnezeiești (Hagia Sophia) din Londra.

🇬🇧 On Saturday, 28 February, His Eminence Archbishop Atanasie will take part, together with the Orthodox Hierarchs of Great Britain and Ireland, in the Pan-Orthodox Vespers for the Sunday of Orthodoxy, a moment of prayer and fellowship bringing together clergy and faithful from different Orthodox communities in a spirit of unity and communion.

The service will take place at 18:00 at the Cathedral of the Divine Wisdom (Hagia Sophia) in London.
