๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณโšก๏ธ- The New York Times now reports that Alice Huang, the Chinese businesswoman who developed a close relationship with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, was recruited by China's Ministry of State Security (MSS) to gather intelligence on him and influence Nvidia into supporting greater access to advanced American AI chips for China.

The chairmen of three House committees have requested that Jensen Huang appear for a closed door briefing on November 18 to explain his relationship with Alice Huang and Nvidia's security measures against Chinese espionage.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ทโšก๏ธ- Three camps are competing to shape President Trump's decision on how to proceed with the Iran war, according to The Wall Street Journal.

One group, including Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and various Gulf leaders, has been advocating for diplomacy. Gulf officials say there are signs that both sides are now looking for an off-ramp, with Qatari mediators working to bridge the remaining gaps. The deal reportedly under discussion would involve just two days of preliminary talks before moving to nuclear negotiations.

A second group, consisting of Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, has pushed the President to tighten sanctions on Tehran and continue the blockade, hoping the strain on Iran's economy forces them to the negotiating table.

The third group, including Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been pressing for a return to major combat operations. Both Hegseth and Cooper have advised President Trump that targeting Iranian energy infrastructure, nuclear facilities, and missile and drone arsenals is the only way to make Iran surrender its nuclear material. Several hawkish voices from outside the administration have also called Trump since Election Day, attempting to convince him his legacy depends on Iran surrendering its nuclear program.

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ทโšก๏ธ- David Lisnard has rapidly emerged as one of the fastest-growing contenders for the 2027 French presidential election. His party, New Energy, recently became France's largest party with 113,000 members, up from just 25,000 in August. His core platform centered on economic reform and downsizing the French state is finding strong traction across both the center and the right.

While polled at around 2% in mid-October, Lisnard has recently jumped to 9% according to a new batch of polls.

Note: Lisnard's latest surge was unaffected by controversial remarks in which he stated he "didn't care" about the 1961 Paris Massacre, when the French police allegedly drowned dozens of Algerians in the Seine.
