🇵🇱⚡️- BREAKING: Possible coup underway in Poland after EU-aligned Prime Minister Donald Tusk sent police forces to the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw right after President Nawrocki left for Senegal for a diplomatic visit. Nawrocki is currently headed back to Poland.

🇵🇱⚡️- "Restoring the rule of law is our duty. After years of PiS-led lawlessness, this is a difficult process, sometimes painful, and it requires decisive action. There is no other way." - Polish PM Donald Tusk.

🇵🇱⚡️- BREAKING: The President of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw, Bogdan Swieczkowski, was suspended and possibly arrested. He is a known support of President Nawrocki.

🇵🇱⚡️- "Today's events related to the Constitutional Tribunal show that the ruling Civic Coalition has decided to enforce its political agenda with the help of the police, disregarding the rule of law, which brings to mind the events of May 1926, whose centenary we recently commemorated.
Particularly outrageous is the fact that the order for the forcible takeover of the Constitutional Tribunal was issued by the Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek, undoubtedly at the behest of Prime Minister Donald Tusk." - Polish MP and co-founder of nationalist party Confederation Grzegorz Braun.

🇵🇱⚡️- Several right-wing Polish MPs and their supports are reportedly on their way to the Constitutional Tribunal to defend the institution from being taken over by Donald Tusk.

🇵🇱⚡️- "The Polish state is ceasing to exist as a state of law." - Polish Nationwide Association of Judges.

🇵🇱⚡️- According to the Warsaw Police, police forces were deployed to the Constitutional Tribunal in response to official requests from both the Attorney General and a "Tribunal judge", who warned of ongoing protests, potential threats to life and health, and risks to public order. Officers claim they operated exclusively in the external public area (Aleja Szucha) to fulfill their statutory duty to maintain public safety, manage the protests, and respond to disturbances such as trespassing and "objects thrown at officers".

However, the Tribunal judge the Warsaw police claims to have answered to is likely Ms. Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, who is NOT a judge of the Constitutional Tribunal according to a statement from said Constitutional Tribunal.

🇵🇱⚡️- “I am the one who issued the order for the immediate suspension of official duties of Mr. Bogdan Święczkowski, as well as Mr. Bartłomiej Sochański.” - Anna Korwin-Piotrowska.

🇵🇱⚡️- Warsaw's police forces are preventing the President of the Constitutional Tribunal Bogdan Święczkowski, members of the Sejm and protesters from entering the Constitutional Court.

🇵🇱⚡️- Grzegorz Braun and Janusz Korwin-Mikke are currently in front of the Constitutional Tribunal. Supporters keep arriving on the scene according to local media.

🇵🇱🇨🇳⚡️- "In light of the events in the country, I have concluded that it is no longer possible for me to continue serving as the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland. As of today, I have submitted my resignation and a request for recall." - Polish Ambassador to China on X.

🇵🇱⚡️- President Nawrocki is set to immediately meet with Prime Minister Donald Tusk upon landing back in Poland according to local media.

🇵🇱⚡️- President Nawrocki's plane has just re-entered Polish airspace. He will land in Warsaw within the next 45 minutes.

🇵🇱⚡️- The second Polish plane accompanying Nawrocki to Senegal also turned back. It will land around 20 minutes earlier than President Nawrocki's plane.

🇵🇱⚡️- According to Article 126 of the Polish Constitution, the President of the Polish Republic is the only figure of authority to guarantee the sovereignty of and security of the Polish state alongside the continuity of the state. The only other organism allowed to meddle with the judiciary would be the National Council of the Judiciary, according to Article 186, which has not issued any statement regarding the ongoing situation.

🇵🇱🇪🇺⚡️- "Either you will lead them out after a year of parliament [the PiS / Nawrocki], or they will lead us out of the European Union." - Donald Tusk on X, hours prior to the ongoing situation.

🇵🇱🇷🇴🇪🇺⚡️- The ongoing situation would be the second time democratic institutions are violated by politicians aligned with the European Union, the first situation being Romania in late 2024.

🇵🇱⚡️- Tensions are rising near the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw as protesters keep arriving to the location.
