Weatherford has advertised more than 20 positions, while Baker Hughes and SLB are also recruiting personnel. American drilling equipment is beginning to return, with Chevron preparing to activate four rigs and Patterson-UTI shipping additional equipment to the country. Only two rigs are currently operating, although production is projected to increase from approximately 1.2 million barrels per day to 1.5 million by late 2027. The developments suggest Venezuela's reopening is beginning to translate into actual investment and operational activity, rather than remaining limited to agreements and announcements.

🇦🇺⚡️- Yesterday, Australian MP Helen Haines was targeted in an attempted assassination, in which she was rammed with a car by a man named Brendan Nugent.

Haines is in critical condition; she has had one leg amputated, is likely to lose her remaining leg, and may still succumb to her injuries.

Nugent’s motive for the attack is unclear, but his social media footprint points to him being a leftist, who posts frequently about Palestine, wealth inequality, the benefits of cannabis use, and has even posted multiple links to Candace Owens’ conspiracy videos regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

🇦🇺⚡️- Brian Nugent’s father, Rod Nugent, released a statement in which he revealed that Helen Haines had been a close friend of the family for over 20 years.

Brian Nugent is a 43-year-old environmental campaigner and has been noted as becoming increasingly erratic over the past few months, as police were dispatched three times to his house during this time, one of his neighbors described him as “an absolute nutjob,” per The Age.

This happened despite Cygames becoming a major partner of three U.S. racecourse events this year, including the prestigious Breeders' Cup, and reviving the American youth's interest in horse racing.

🇧🇬🇨🇳⚡️- Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev met the Chinese Foreign Minister. Rumen Radev reaffirmed Bulgaria's respect of the one-China principle and indicated that the Bulgarian economy was open to increased Chinese investments.

🇫🇷⚡️- According to Le Populaire du Centre, French police forces have arrested 34-year-old Hodei Docampo Ciarra as the main suspect in the investigation into the arson that ravaged the city hall of Limoges.
