GPS PRIDE (shown in the image) is sinking in the Strait of Hormuz. Conflicting accounts have emerged regarding the cause. Iranian authorities earlier claimed the vessel attempted to transit the strait without authorisation and struck a sea mine, while Reuters reports that the ship was hit by projectiles.

Meanwhile, the bulk carrier CAPE DAO is sinking in the Gulf of Oman after being struck by several Iranian projectiles.

🇺🇸🇸🇦⚡️- Abdulrahman Alfozan, the Saudi OpenAI engineer who allegedly planted a secret listening device in OpenAI’s San Francisco offices, reportedly had a one-way ticket to Saudi Arabia booked for October 12th, according to Bloomberg.

Federal prosecutors were concerned that Alfozan could flee the United States if he became aware of the investigation. He was arrested on October 9th, just three days before his scheduled departure.

🇷🇴🇷🇺⚡- BREAKING: Russian drones struck the tanker YARA J at the mouth of Sulina Canal, Romania, well inside NATO's territory.

The vessel was carrying fuel bound for Ukraine and is crewed by Syrian sailors. The ship is currently on fire.

🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡- "U.S. forces destroyed an Iranian-affiliated dhow conducting surveillance and targeting U.S. Navy ships in the Gulf of Oman.

Over the past seven months, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has continued to indiscriminately target thousands of civilian mariners transiting regional waters in addition to U.S. Navy warships.

Crew members were safely removed prior to destruction of the dhow. Repatriation efforts are ongoing," - CENTCOM.

🇺🇸🇹🇼⚡️- Taiwan says it has made significant progress toward purchasing 6 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas annually from Alaska, equivalent to 30% of the proposed Alaska LNG project's production capacity. Taipei is also considering investing up to $4.4 billion in the project, although final agreements have not been signed.

The project would give Taiwan direct access to American natural gas across the North Pacific, bypassing the Panama Canal and reducing its dependence on Middle Eastern energy supplies. Deliveries could begin as early as 2032, which would represent a significant long-term expansion of US-Taiwan energy cooperation.

Senator Ted Cruz, one of Israel’s fiercest defenders in Congress, told the WSJ, “The Groyper problem is real,” and claims he cannot fill typical staffer roles in his office, after over half of the applicants have split views concerning Israel.
