The Tihamah was designed with the UAE and Southern Transitional Council assistance. The military group has also been withdrawn from the NRF, and now once again acts independently (but 'loyal' to the PLC).
In other words, the PLC and Saudi took over yet another former STC formation's leadership, which led to mass defection amongst its members–a repeat of what happened with the (Southern) Giant Brigades earlier this year.
