🇺🇸🇴🇲🇮🇷⚡️- Barak Ravid, a reporter for Axios who has a reputation for claiming there is a ceasefire "almost done" (see our previous timeline of his claims), has said that there is a "near" deal to restart the temporary ceasefire and open the Strait of Hormuz.

Axios reports the deal as the following:

"According to two regional sources, the deal under discussion sets up a 60-day temporary arrangement between Oman and Iran in the Hormuz strait, which could be extended.

- All inbound traffic of ships through the strait and into the Gulf would go in a northern lane through Iranian waters.
- All outbound traffic through the strait and into the Arabian Sea would go in a southern lane through Omani waters, in coordination with Iran.
- No tolls or fees would be charged during the 60-day period.
- The parties would work on clearing naval mines from the median lane of the strait within 30 days.
- After the median lane is cleared, it would be used for inbound and outbound traffic under the terms of a permanent arrangement to be negotiated between Oman and Iran.

Two regional sources said Araghchi agreed in principle over the weekend but still needed approval from Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and the Supreme National Security Council.
A U.S. official and a regional source said Iranian leadership completed its approval process on Tuesday."

🇾🇪🇸🇦⚡- Ansarullah says it has "directly struck" the Saudi tanker WAFA in the Red Sea near Yanbu.

According to the group, this would be the eighth Saudi vessel hit since the launch of its blockade of Saudi Red Sea ports. It also claims 29 other Saudi ships have been forced to U-turn and prevented from transiting the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

🇷🇺🇺🇦🇰🇵⚡- Ukrainian intelligence reports North Korea has deployed a missile unit to Russia for attacks on Ukraine. The unit will have six launchers and up to 120 ballistic missiles initially, along with 90 North Korean personnel.

During the overnight Russian attacks on Kiev, both Ukrainian and Russian monitoring channels confirmed the use of North Korean ballistics (2 KN-23 missiles). Last week, Russia launched two North Korean missiles as well, the first since August 2025.

🇺🇸🇺🇦⚡- U.S. President Donald Trump declined Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's request for 300 Patriot interceptor missiles, with the U.S. President citing depleted U.S. stockpiles and regional defense needs in the Middle East, The Financial Times reports.

🇬🇧🇪🇺🇷🇺⚡- Former senior officials from the E3 (the UK, France, and Germany) met with Russian officials in Vienna, Austria, to explore potential conditions for peace talks to end Moscow’s war on Ukraine, Bloomberg reports.

The meeting was held with Ukraine's coordination, as Kiev has been working on trying to establish direct contact with the Kremlin.

🇩🇪🇺🇦⚡- A security alert was triggered at Leipzig/Halle Airport overnight after a drone carrying an unknown substance and a detonator was discovered in the airport’s cargo area, BILD reports. Investigators classified the drone as a suspected explosive device.

The drone was found near a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft, prompting the German Federal Police to deploy bomb disposal specialists and a remote-controlled robot to examine the device.

The murder took place in Culiacan, Sinaloa.

🇩🇪⚡- BREAKING: A cargo plane collided with an unknown explosive object (suspected drone) in mid-air while attempting to land at Leipzig/Halle Airport. The incident reportedly occurred approximately 400m off ground. The plane was forced to divert to Hannover. The aircraft suffered minor damage to the front.

Leipzig's airport remains closed. The collision follows an earlier incident when an explosive drone was found near a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft at the same airport this morning.

🇩🇪🇺🇦 - German Federal Police have told WELT that the "unknown substance" found on the first drone which was lying on the ground next to a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft were "explosive nitrates."
