🇸🇾🇮🇶⚡- Syrian military reinforcements have been observed along the Syria-Iraq border, al-Mayadeen's office in Iraq confirms.

🇸🇾🇮🇶⚡- Iraq has confirmed the deployment of Syrian troops along the Syria-Iraq border, stating that all movements are being coordinated between Baghdad and Damascus. Iraqi authorities also emphasized that there is no threat to the country.

The decision came after the Gaza Peace Council announced that Israel must stop assassination operations.

🇺🇸⚡- Jeanine John Taele, a 38-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to assassinate President Trump at his Rancho Palos Verdes golf club, as Trump is slated to speak there later tonight.

Taele was arrested on Saturday after taking photos and videos at the golf club and appeared to be monitoring security patterns. In addition, Taele had multiple firearms and stockpiles of ammunition; he was also noted to have multiple notebooks filled with “concerning statements”.

🇧🇷🇦🇷⚡️- Brazil downgraded its bilateral relations with Argentina to the chargé d'affaires level, according to Reuters.

Brazil’s ambassador will not return to Buenos Aires following comments from Argentine President Milei in which he labeled Brazilian President Lula da Silva as “corrupt” and a “thief”.

🇺🇸🇴🇲🇮🇷⚡️- Barak Ravid, a reporter for Axios who has a reputation for claiming there is a ceasefire "almost done" (see our previous timeline of his claims), has said that there is a "near" deal to restart the temporary ceasefire and open the Strait of Hormuz.

Axios reports the deal as the following:

"According to two regional sources, the deal under discussion sets up a 60-day temporary arrangement between Oman and Iran in the Hormuz strait, which could be extended.

- All inbound traffic of ships through the strait and into the Gulf would go in a northern lane through Iranian waters.
- All outbound traffic through the strait and into the Arabian Sea would go in a southern lane through Omani waters, in coordination with Iran.
- No tolls or fees would be charged during the 60-day period.
- The parties would work on clearing naval mines from the median lane of the strait within 30 days.
- After the median lane is cleared, it would be used for inbound and outbound traffic under the terms of a permanent arrangement to be negotiated between Oman and Iran.

Two regional sources said Araghchi agreed in principle over the weekend but still needed approval from Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and the Supreme National Security Council.
A U.S. official and a regional source said Iranian leadership completed its approval process on Tuesday."
