The fire in Gironde is no longer moving. Firemen have four days to put out the wildfires before the next heatwave hits.

Bordeaux's metropolitan area has activated its emergency backup plan.

🇫🇷⚡️- 167,000 people were evacuated so far in France from their homes, with 57,000 evacuations during last night alone.

🇫🇷⚡️- "These are likely the largest civilian evacuation operations [of France's history]." - Laurent Nuñez, French Interior Minister.

🇸🇦🇾🇪⚡- Saudi Arabia launched airstrikes at the Ansarullah-controlled half of the al-Jawf Governorate, northern Yemen.

The strikes targeted the Ansarullah launch sites that were used to target Jizan, southwest Saudi Arabia. Reports of targeting pro al-Houthi tribal forces and gatherings are false.

🇾🇪⚡- Loud explosions heard in the northern countryside of Ta'izz, Presidential Leadership Council controlled southern Yemen.

🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡- "Iran has prepared for a possible attack in recent months by strengthening fortifications and creating obstacles and explosive traps around some of its nuclear facilities, which makes the execution of any ground operation highly risky," - The New York Times.

🇾🇪🇸🇦⚡- Senior figures from the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, PLC, are meeting in Ma'rib, central Yemen, alongside the PLC's Defense Minister, the Chief of Staff, and Saudi Arabia's top military official overseeing the Yemen file, who is based in the city of al-Abr.

🇪🇸⚡️- Wildfires near Madrid have caused 100,000 evacuations in Spain. Those fires are currently growing, with already 25,000 hectares burnt.

🇫🇷🇪🇸⚡️- The smoke fumes of the Madrid and Gironde fires have merged in northern Spain and southwestern France according to the Spanish State Meteorological Agency.

🇫🇷⚡️- Despite an increase in humidity and decreased wind strength in the area, the fires have resumed a slow advance towards Bordeaux.

🇫🇷⚡️- 200,000 people have been evacuated by now as fires resumed their progress. Around 1500 soldiers have been deployed to help firefighters and local authorities. Help has also begun to arrive from European nations.

🇾🇪🇸🇦 - Ansarullah's spokesman Yahya Saree confirms attacks on the Jizan and Abha regions of southwest Saudi Arabia.

Note, Pakistan has yet to, and will likely not respond to the attacks despite making repeated tough statements last week.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 - Iran's IRIB TV reports from Jask, southern Iran, that 'armed' men await the arrival of any potential U.S. landing operation in the area.

🇫🇷⚡️- The fires are now 20 kilometers away from Bordeaux's metropolitan area.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 - There has been only three US airstrikes on Iran in the past 24 hours.

🇺🇸🇮🇷🇮🇱⚡️- President Trump postponed a major attack on Iran last night in hopes of returning to negotiations, according to Israeli Channel 11.

🇫🇷⚡️- A retrofitted A400M of the French Air Force has joined the fight against the wildfires. This is the first time an A400M is used to this effect.

🇷🇺🇰🇿🇺🇦⚡- In a striking and unexpected exchange, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev directly urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine and return to negotiations during a meeting between the two today.

"It's heartbreaking that young people are dying. They are the gene pool of the brotherly peoples of Russia and Ukraine. All of this must be stopped," Tokayev said. He added that "perhaps this conflict should now be frozen and Moscow should return" to the negotiating table.

Putin simply responded that he will keep his Kazakh counterpart informed "of the developments on the Ukraine" file.
