The Chinese research ship Xue Long transited north through the U.S. “exclusive economic zone” — known as the EEZ — and over the extended North American continental shelf in the Bering Sea.

These zones are planned to see the withdrawal of Israeli forces, and Lebanese military to take their place.

"Today, pilot zone operations began in the villages of Froun, Srifa, and Zawtar Al-Gharbiya in accordance with the Trilateral Framework and under the auspices of the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon. This milestone is a direct outcome of last week’s discussions between Israel and Lebanon in Rome. 🇱🇧🇮🇱 - Three experimental withdrawal zones, marked in yellow on Rerum Novarum's map. Two of the zones match our prediction in the past.

Note, of the three, only one is currently under Israeli control, Zawtar al-Gharbiya, Nabatieh direction, the smallest of the three zones.

The remaining two are not even under Israeli control, one being an important baseline along Froun, the other being the large town of Srifa - both in the Chehabiyeh direction.

Under the Lebanon-Israel framework agreement, if the Lebanese Armed Forces fail to dismantle Hezbollah's infrastructure, Israel would be within its right to re-enter the zones. In this case, Israel would be "re-entering" zones it currently does not control.
