The UAE’s military assistance to the DRC is part of its broader strategy to protect and expand its growing financial interests in the DRC under a US economic umbrella.

The UAE has signed several mining deals with the DRC since the United States became involved in regional peace efforts in mid-2025. The latest US sanctions on Rwanda could further incentivize the UAE to prioritize its efforts to reestablish a gold pipeline from the DRC over Rwandan gold exports.

Future Congolese efforts to regain control of Bukavu, the M23-controlled South Kivu provincial capital, through military action or the US-backed peace process would further strengthen the DRC-UAE economic partnership.

🇺🇸🫏⚡️- Democratic nominee for Senate in Maine, Graham Platner, now has another ex-girlfriend levying an accusation of sexual misconduct.

The ex-girlfriend, Lyndsey Fifield, who dated Platner for two years, had previously accused Platner of physical abuse, but now accuses him of “sneakily” removing a condom during intercourse, which is criminal in most of the Anglosphere, as well as in Maine, but not in Washington, D.C., where the alleged incident took place.

Platner’s team has called the allegation “categorically false and politically motivated.”

🇺🇸🐊⚡- Kelly Mason, a founder of a charter school in Florida called ‘Mason Classical Academy,’ is suing Byron Donalds for an incident that occurred in 2022. Donalds, as seen in the video, brought a member of his team and cornered Mason, demanding that she drop a lawsuit against his wife, Erika Donalds.

When Mason Classical Academy opened, Byron and Erika Donalds were added to the board in some capacity. Not long after, the Donalds began pressuring Mason to create new schools to make money, while Mason was more concerned with the quality of the already established Academy. Mason refused to go along and sued after an attempted “hostile takeover,” per the Daily Mail.

In the video, Donalds is heard demanding that Kelly Mason drop the lawsuit, while her then-13-year-old daughter recorded from a distance. Donalds also reportedly told Mason that he would “crush” and “finish” her during the embarrassing display of the Congressman’s manners and public etiquette.

Mason and the Donalds settled the original lawsuit in 2024.

🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️- "U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed a new round of offensive strikes against Iran, July 7, hitting over 80 targets with precision munitions as an immediate response to Iran's latest attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. forces struck Iranian air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities, and more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps small boats in and near the strait to degrade Iran’s ability to continue attacking international commerce flowing through the international trade corridor.

Iran recently attacked three commercial vessels transiting the strait including Marshall Islands-flagged M/T Al Rekayyat, Saudi Arabia-flagged M/T Wedyan, and Liberian-flagged M/T Cyprus Prosperity. The unwarranted aggression by Iranian forces is a clear and dangerous violation of the ceasefire and undermines freedom of navigation.
