🇺🇸🇮🇳⚡️ — The U.S. Department of Justice is preparing to drop fraud charges against Indian billionaire Gautam Adani, potentially ending a criminal case filed during the Biden administration that accused him of bribery and fraud at the expense of U.S. investors, according to NYT.

➡️ The shift followed efforts by Adani’s new legal team led by Robert J. Giuffra Jr., one of Trump's personal lawyers.

➡️ Giuffra met Justice Department officials last month and argued prosecutors lacked sufficient evidence and jurisdiction. During the meeting, Adani’s team also said he would be willing to invest $10 billion in the U.S. economy and create 15,000 jobs if the charges were dropped.
