Noting that the Taiwan question is the most important issue in China-U.S. relations, Xi told Trump that if it is handled properly, the bilateral relationship will enjoy overall stability.

🇺🇸🇨🇳⚡️- The first round of US-China talks have ended.

🇺🇸🇨🇳⚡️- One of the things likely to be discussed is the $14 Billion dollar arms sale package to Taiwan and another $6 Billion dollar package, both of which Trump has not yet approved.

The larger package is mostly made up of advanced air defence systems and has been ready for President Trump's approval since March, and would be the largest US arms sales package to the small island of Taiwan, which is largely dependent on US military support for its defence. The smaller package, primarily comprising general defence assets, is also reportedly ready for Trump's approval.

Trump has been urged by some in Congress to approve the $14 billion package before his trip to China to avoid discussion of the deal, although these packages are now likely to be used as bargaining chips.

Each approved customer will reportedly be allowed to purchase 75,000 chips each.

Despite approval from the U.S., the Chinese government has not let the companies make any purchases of the chips as of yet, instead pushing for domestically produced chips.

According to Reuters, some of the companies include Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, JD.com, Lenovo, and Foxconn.
