🇨🇳🇵🇭⚡️- The Philippines National Security Council has released a report accusing the Chinese government of dropping bottles of cyanide into the disputed South China Sea last year near the grounded BRP Sierra Madre vessel.

The BRP Sierra Madre is a navy vessel that was intentionally grounded by the Philippines in 1999 to serve as a forward military outpost in the Second Thomas Shoal, South China Sea, to defend against Chinese territorial claims to the shoal. The soldiers who fortify this vessel rely on fresh food to be delivered, although the Chinese coast guard has made substantial efforts to blockade these deliveries to the crew, including intentionally ramming supply vessels.

Polluting the water surrounding the vessel could prevent the crew from catching their own fish, leaving them entirely reliant on the Philippine Navy breaching the blockade to deliver food and water.

As stated in our previous post, the new positions of the 3 active carrier groups is the USS George H.W. Bush in the western Mediterranean, the USS Gerald R. Ford in the eastern Mediterranean after its repairs and resupply, and the USS Abraham Lincoln operating in the Arabian Sea.
