In the Middle East theater, the U.S. Navy has positioned two carrier strike groups, the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) and its strike group are operating in the Eastern Mediterranean, while the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) carrier strike group are operating in the Arabian Sea and has performed non-stop offensive operations on Iran since day one.

The USS Tripoli (LHA-7) is in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, and it includes roughly 2,500 Marines as part of an amphibious assault group.

Meanwhile, the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) and its carrier strike group are currently underway towards the Eastern Mediterranean and are expected to arrive in the CENTCOM area of responsibility within a week.
