The Catholic Church always has and continues to maintain that transsexualism is innately disordered and sinful. By no means has the Church decided that it is now okay- this is completely false. The purpose of the sacraments, from a very oversimplified and basic understanding, is to heal broken people. By allowing transsexuals to be baptized, the purpose is to introduce the sacrament of baptism to a disordered person in hopes that they turn from their sin and end their disordered practice.

In spite of all the anti-Catholic comments spread online regarding this release, the Church's position on sexual degeneracy remains unchanged and will always remain unchanged.
