🇮🇶🇰🇼🇺🇳⚡- Iraq has submitted revised maritime border lines to the United Nations, which Kuwait claims infringes on its sovereignty.

The dispute, as always in the past, is centered around the Khor Abdullah waterways. Iraq's new maritime border proposal includes Fisht Al Eid and Fisht Al Eij.

Kuwait has summoned the Iraqi ambassador to the country. In a rare instance of today's political climate, all of the Gulf countries have unified and have rallied behind Kuwait, including Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

On this day 35 years ago, the Gulf War air campaign, spearheaded by the US, ended, and the 42-country coalition ground offensive into Kuwait began.
