Commerce secretary Howard Lutnick "was heckled at" the dinner by his European counterparts after he "gave a combative speech." The crowd "erupted into a roar, with widespread jeering."

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde "walked out" half way through Lutnick's speech, in which he made "dismissive comments about Europe."

A source tells the Financial Times that the atmosphere at the dinner was "tense, noisy and spicy."

🇹🇷🇸🇾🇮🇱⚡- Turkey has deployed the HTRS-100 radar system to Damascus International Airport, Syria. The radar can detect all airborne targets within a range of up to 115 miles.

Israeli Channel 15 has confirmed the deployment, and claims it severely restricts Israel's freedom of action in Syrian airspace. The south of Syria was a corridor Israel relied upon to approach Iranian borders in the 12 Day War.

A Newsom official subsequently blamed the USA House for succumbing to pressure from the State Department.

🇨🇭⚡️- The Conference Center at the World Economic Forum (WEF) is being evacuated. The reason for the evacuation is currently unclear.

🇮🇷⚡️ – Reuters reports witness accounts of protests in Iran, stating that the IRGC opened indiscriminate fire on protesters, hitting and killing bystanders who were not taking part in the demonstrations.

🇫🇷⚡️ – The French Senate rejected the initial text of the law to generalize euthanasia in France, despite reaching an early agreement on most articles.

🇺🇸⚡️ – Donald Trump is planning weekly trips within the U.S. to address voters’ concerns as the midterms approach, according to Reuters. His first stop is scheduled for Iowa next Tuesday, where he will focus on economy and energy topics.

🇺🇸🇬🇱⚡- BREAKING: President Trump announces a deal has been made for Greenland in an interview with CNBC.

"I think it is going to be a very good deal for the US and also for them [Denmark]. [NATO Chief] Rutte was representing them. I assume he has been speaking to all of them.

We will work together on something having to do with the Arctic as a whole, but also Greenland.

🇺🇸🇬🇱⚡- The New York Times reports the US-Greenland deal will be similar to that of the UK-Cyprus agreement.

US, Danish and NATO officials are in discussions to build a framework in which small pockets of Greenland would be granted US sovereignty. The US would be able to build and operate military infrastructure at these sites, in a similar way the UK operates two sites on Cyprus.

The framework was pushed by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
