Unlike the past few months, the United States is sending a USS Carrier Strike Group into the region, which was used to protect Israel from Iranian missile attacks during the 12-day war. The reason for President Trump postponing a strike earlier last week was due to concerns that the U.S. did not have the proper assets to protect its own bases in the event of an Iranian retaliation strike.
