Russian forces have captured the eastern half of Nikolaivka as well as Nikolaivka's southern trench line. The capture of this trench will put pressure on Ukrainian positions just south in Novgrodovka's waste-heap.

More importantly, Russian forces have crossed the Zhuravka river capturing a significant portion of the Zhuravka line of defenses. Russian troops advanced another 700 meters north, capturing a large Ukrainian fortification known as the 'cat and tail'. The loss of 'cat and tail' has put Russian troops in a strong position to launch an attack on Mirnograd, which is now just 1,650 meters away.

UAV footage shows Russian forces taking up positions in the 'cat and tail' at 48.25931, 37.32782, which confirms the advance.
