#BREAKING Russia has carried out the largest prisoner swap involving the U.S., Germany, and three other Western countries since the Cold War with Turkish National Intelligence Agency (MIT) facilitation.

— According to the agreement, a total of 24 people were released.

— 8 Russian citizens suspected of links to Russian intelligence were extradited to Russia.

— The White House, State Department and CIA participated in negotiations between Russia and European countries.

American Prisoners to be Released:

— Evan Gershkovich: Wall Street Journal reporter arrested in March 2023, charged with espionage.
— Paul Whelan: Marine veteran arrested in December 2018, sentenced to 16 years for espionage charges.
— Alsu Kurmasheva: Russian-American radio journalist detained in June 2023 for allegedly spreading false information about the Russian army.

Other Prisoners Involved:

— At least 12 political prisoners held in Russia are expected to be released to Germany.
— Eight Russian nationals are to be returned to Russia, including some with suspected ties to Russian intelligence.
— Vadim Krasikov, a convicted murderer serving a life sentence in Germany, is expected to be part of the swap.
— Vladimir Kara-Murza, a Kremlin critic and Washington Post contributor, is expected to be flown to the U.S.

🇷🇺🇺🇦⚡- Russian forces have captured Veseloe (Pokrovsk direction) – Ukrainian sources have now confirmed, the Russian side claimed control a few hours ago.

Only 2,100 meters remain to Grodovka, the last large town before the vital city of Mirnograd.

Also with the current advance, Russia's 2024 summer counter-offensive has now captured exactly five times as much territory as Ukraine's 2023 summer counter-offensive.
