🇲🇱🇷🇺🇺🇦⚡- The photo above is being circulated apparently showing the Timur unit of Ukraine's Kraken-GUR in Mali alongside Azawad forces. This is incorrect.

Both Ukrainians and Azawads are feeding the lie. The soldiers that look 'Ukrainian / White' are Tuareg, most likely Algerian, or exiled-Libyan descent. Lighter skin tones amongst Tuaregs are not uncommon.

Multiple Wagner sources deny Ukrainian involvement on the ground, some have even denied Ukrainian intelligence involvement. The Azawad forces and Azawad media has also denied Ukrainian involvement. The French org. 'Little', an intelligence source / think tank that has been operating in the Sahel for over a decade, denies Ukrainian involvement too.

The photo being circulated originates from 'KyivPost', who had previously faked Timur's presence in Syria.

Notably, the photo is a still image from several videos that were recorded prior to the 10th of July, and then shared on multiple platforms on Azawad pages. The photo therefore is over two / three weeks old. 'KyivPost' made the claim that the photo was taken at the scene, which is therefore untrue. For comparison, the current Wagner offensive in the north began on 20th of July.

There also exist numerous close-up shots of light-skin Tuareg individuals at the recent battle scene, who would otherwise look 'Ukrainian' from afar.
