Also, the announcement about something is gonna be coming in the next 5 minutes. If we can succeed this, it will be the truly first time in ALL Realme Communities and might even be the hope for many MTK Communities.

So, yes the announcement you all have been waiting for.


The GCam legend, @Arnova8G2_Xda has accepted working with us on GCam side at the same time accepting a 2nd hand device and also accepting us sending a device being sent from India to France.

(It was gonna cost us 190 Euros the other way so, it's much much cheaper like this (: )

If we achieve this (like we did with main development crowdfunding 😉) We will be the FIRST Realme community to collect 2 devices and we'll be having perfect GCam ports that we can easily use on Custom ROMs. + We have around 900 INR left from the crowdfunding we did before (Inder decided to ship Samar with insurance, so it costed 520INR)

The goal will be around 12-12.5K (We need a device that is in really good condition and 2.5K INR for shipping to France)

Guys please do consider this to be as serious as primary development.. see what advantages this makes

1) it will get aux fix on custom roms
2) stable Google Camera ports until device dies and it begins from Gcam8
2) better optimisations for photography with gcam and better photo outcome out of box
3) Would help mediatek device community from realme to be more open towards Gcam development with this step.
4) maybe maybe maybe it can even get us buffer fix without root.
5) custom roms can be equipped with stable gcam rather looking for one as no realme stock cam would work in it.
6) will even help to fix Sabre on Samsung sensors which till now only worked on sony sensors. What is sabre? It's a Gcam feature introduced by Google...Know more
7) will help to fix 64MP mode too.

This is how it is gonna create next level evolution for mediatek based devices on realme for Gcam development. Realme 6/6i has a very finest camera setup and let's not ignore it just with ROMs only :)

So this advantages what it makes with your contribution for not just for our community but big evolution for realme mediatek community. :D
