Want to Learn Bengali But Fear People Will Laugh — What Should I Do?

I’ve been living in Kolkata for the past 6–7 years, and I completed my 11th and 12th here. So, I can understand Bengali quite well. When it comes to speaking, I can speak it, but there might be some mistakes. I often mix Hindi with Bengali because sometimes I forget certain words, so I replace them with Hindi. I really want to learn Bengali properly.

My question is — if I try to speak Bengali and it comes out as a mix of Hindi and Bengali, will people laugh at me? 😅 You know, I feel shy, and there's always this fear that if someone laughs at the way I speak, all my confidence will just disappear.
