An awkward moment
A couple of minutes ago, I ordered from a quick delivery app. The delivery person came running, sweating, and asked for the OTP as his time was running out. I gave it, and everything was done on time. Then he said it was his first order.
It's so humid and hot where I live so he asked for water. I didn't have cold water because I get a sore throat from it. I already was feeling bad for not able to provide cold water. Then, I thought I would give him water in a use-and-throw bottle instead of a glass so he doesn't have to return it to me. I handed him the bottle and said, "You can keep it." He said, "Please don't mind", thinking I wouldn't want to take back the bottle after he drank from it.
My intention wasn't that. I feel so silly for making him feel like that. Whenever I think I won't do anything silly, I end up doing it. I even told him, "No, no, I gave it so you can use and throw", but I don't think it helped. I have social anxiety and didn't know what to say. I didn't mean to give him that idea; I never even thought of it.
I hope I didn't ruin his day 😕

I got cat-fished on Hinge.
Summer vacation e bari firechilam.. vablam let's try out this app. Matched with a guy. Got to know that he is half bengali, half dutch.. lives in UK but will travel to kolkata in two weeks. vablam thik ache dekhi kotha bole. He was very polite and had a heavy accent. He sounded interested in my profile and even said he is ready to settle down if everything goes right. I asked for his social media, but he denied having it, saying his ex stalks him, so he deactivated his insta (1st red flag). So I asked him to send me his current photos, and he did.
Now, me being a self-proclaimed pro-level stalker, googled the sh|t out of his name and searched his pics on Google images, but to my surprise nothing came up.
Until one photo that he claimed to be his recent pic, but when I searched it on google images it took me to an insta page of a Portuguese doctor. I confronted him, and he denied... but r kichu bolar chilo na. He politely said "pardon" and disconnected the call.
I'm just pissed that I could not report his profile on Hinge (I think he blocked me). So, ladies using this app... beware of fake profiles.
