Your take on this

Was smoking a cigg near Salt Lake 8no. Tank.

When 2 girls got out of their car and started saying how India is against humanity they have attacked the innocent People beyond their borders.

I gave them a stare in their eye, was about to say something, then something struck my mind and I started going towards my home Newtown.

For the Girl Who Always Shows Up But Has No One Show Up for Her.

Hey everyone,

I (24M) am here today not for myself, but for my girlfriend (21F). We've been together since 2020, and she's truly the kindest, most giving person I know.

She had her birthday recently — April 26th. She invited her friends. Most forgot. None showed up. We planned to celebrate again on May 10th, and she reached out to them again. Once more, every single person had an excuse and they made it evident. So now, it’s just me who’ll be going.

This hurts me deeply because I see how much she does for others. She never turns her back on anyone — even when it hurts her. But she’s always been let down. Used. Forgotten. Betrayed.Over and over.

She’s funny, kind, helpful, pretty and genuinely a joy to be around. Sure, she takes a little time to open up — who doesn’t? — but once she does, there’s nothing not to love about her.

And still, she ends up with people who don’t value her. Especially female friends. She’s always wanted a close group of girls she can laugh with, talk to, and trust — but she’s never really had that. And I can tell it’s breaking her inside, even though she hides it and I've known her for long enough to be sure that she cries everynight.

She needs and deserves real friends. Women who see her for who she is, who don’t leave when she’s no longer "useful," who simply care.

If you’re someone who knows what real friendship means — kindness, listening, growing together — please reach out. You don’t have to be perfect. Just genuine.

We can connect on Instagram, and who knows — this might be the beginning of something really special.

Thank you for reading this. It means more than you know.

My experience in Kolkata during a recent visit

So I was in Kolkata from May 5th to 8th for some personal work. I’m from North Bengal, and I’m part Bengali, part Nepali. Back home, I rarely get to speak Bengali — most people around me speak Nepali, Hindi, or English. So I was actually looking forward to this trip, expecting to finally hear and speak Bengali more freely.

But honestly, I was surprised. I went around quite a bit — Howrah, Central Kolkata, Newtown, Tollygunge — and almost everywhere, people were speaking in Hindi. Shopkeepers, cab drivers, even random people on the streets. I barely had more than 8–10 short conversations in Bengali the whole trip.

I don’t hate Hindi or anything, but I kinda had this expectation, you know? Like, when you think of Kolkata — cultural capital, birthplace of so much Bengali art and literature — you expect Bengali to be all around you. Instead, it felt like I was in a mostly Hindi-speaking city with bits of Bengali here and there.

Not trying to bash the city or anything. Just… didn’t expect this.
