Halaire Du Berrier (born Harold Berrier of North Dekota) was an American pilot and stunt devil. In his early 20s he became a mercenary pilot serving in the Italian-Ethiopian war as well as spying for the Nationalists in the spanish civil war. He would also go on to join Action Française (A Hard Right monarchist movement in France) along with writing “Background to Betrayal” published by western island (the publishing arm of the John Birch Society) which exposed the CIAs constant aiding of Communists and labor parties all throughout South East Asia.⚜️

The German Olympic swimmer Walther Kusch stood as the model for this sculpture. In 1978 Kusch was the world champion at the 100 m breaststroke and he had a total of 34 records in his name.
