‘Too Many Muslims’: Ukrainian Refugees Complain of UK Diversity

A new Channel 4 documentary into Ukrainian refugees attempting to integrate into UK society has shown many of them uncomfortable with the racially diverse surroundings.

One host said her guest complained “there were too many Muslims in the area” and that her son “couldn’t be safe because there weren’t enough white kids”, before agreeing to end their placement.

Another moved “from the best area of Kiev to the worst area of Birmingham”, which she feared was a center of Islamic terrorism after reading internet accounts and crime statistics.

Russians/Nazis-Comparing Ukrainian Journalist Warned by ex UK PM

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson called out a Ukrainian journalist who compared Russians to Nazis that the peoples of Russia and Ukraine suffered enormous losses during the Great Patriotic War.

“I think you need to be very careful with such comparisons in a certain sense. We must not forget that the Russians also suffered gigantic sacrifices [during the Great Patriotic War] to defeat the Nazis. And the Ukrainians too,” he said in an interview with Rada TV channel.

EU Urged to Embrace ‘War Economy’

The European Union should move its economy to a wartime footing amid the Ukraine conflict, Manfred Weber, the president of the European People’s Party (EPP), suggested on Thursday.

Speaking to the newspapers of the Funke media group, Weber called for the reorganization of the EU arms industry. The MEP believes that the bloc needs “a kind of war economy… in order to be able to guarantee stability and security”.

“The European states are currently not in a position to provide the necessary armaments quickly enough, neither for our own defense, nor for Ukraine,” he lamented amid the numerous warnings by EU officials that the bloc’s own arms stockpiles are running low.

Pakistan to Buy Russian Crude from April

Pakistan has agreed on all commercial terms for buying Russian crude, including payment in the Pakistani national currency, and is set to begin imports from April, said Minister of State for Petroleum Musadiq Malik.

According to the country's energy security plan, Islamabad intends to import crude oil, liquefied natural gas, pipeline gas and other fuels from Russia.
