The Asian American communities of the San Francisco Bay Area gathered at the Wilma Chan Park in Oakland on Wednesday night to mourn the victims of the last shootings in California.
In the last few days, four unrelated shootings were registered in California, two of them performed by Asian American aggressors. On 21 January, Huu Can Tran, 72, killed 11 and injured several others celebrating the Lunar New Year in Monterey Park, Southern California.
Two days later, gunfire at two farms in Half Moon Bay south of San Francisco in Northern California killed seven and injured another. The accused shooter was 66-year-old Chunli Zhao.

Marilyn Manson Settles Sex Abuse Lawsuit, Insists It 'Never Happened'
Singer Marilyn Manson has settled a lawsuit with Game Of Thrones actress Esme Bianco, in which he was accused of sexual and physical abuse.
Bianco claimed that Manson gave her electric shocks and threatened to rape her. The musicianโs legal team maintains the allegations against him were "provably false" and "simply never happened".
This was third lawsuit against Manson containing similar claims to be dropped.

More people have turned to the drug trade as economic problems blight the nation following the militaryโs power grab, with poppy cultivation up by a third in the last year - thatโs despite efforts to eradicate the practice.
A massive 40,100 hectares are now being used for growing the plant, according to the UN, who estimate the value of the opiate economy between $660 million and $2 billion because people โhave had little option but to move back to opium.โ
โVirtually all the heroin reported in East and Southeast Asia and Australia originates in Myanmar, and the country remains the second-largest opium and heroin producer in the world after Afghanistan," the bodyโs regional representative said.
