Ukraine’s deputy foreign minister has suggested on Twitter that Western nations should set up a “coalition” to provide fighter jets to Ukraine.
Andrey Melnik, who also previously served as Kiev’s ambassador to Germany, specifically wish-listed the following models: the US F-16 and F-35, the EU’s Eurofighter and Tornado, the French Rafale, and the Swedish Gripen.
Melnik’s proposal follows reports of Washington’s and Berlin’s favorable decision to provide Kiev with combat tanks.
