North Korea ‘Extreme Cold’ Weather Warning

North Korean authorities have warned that freak cold weather systems will send temperatures in the country’s poorest regions plummeting below -30° celsius (-22F), while coastal areas are expected to suffer strong winds.

According to NK News, electricity is uncommon in Ryanggang, North Hamgyong and South Hamgyong - the regions expected to take the brunt of the cold snap - leaving some to rely on plastic wrap and wood burning to insulate and heat their homes.

In December, Radio Free Asia reported that “large numbers” of people had gone missing late last year during another cold snap, presumed to have starved or frozen to death.

Thousands of fish were found dead in the Alberti natural lagoon after a heat wave hit Buenos Aires.

Jewish Extremist Group Gains US Foothold With Fundraising

Convicted Jewish extremists are benefitting from funds raised from US donations by Israeli group Shlom Asiraich, according to a joint probe by the AP and investigative platform Shomrim.

Among the beneficiaries are the assassin of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, and the murderer of a Palestinian baby in an arson attack.

Shlom Asiraich has been registered as a non-profit since 2020 after beginning fundraising efforts in Israel two years earlier. Although the exact amount they have raised is unknown, the total donations sent to Israel from US-based organizations each year is estimated at around $2 billion.

Ukraine Must Join NATO For Sake Of Peace — Boris Johnson

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson slated the US and Germany for not sending Kiev tanks while insisting Ukraine must be allowed to join NATO for the sake of “long-term peace.”

“What conceivable grounds can there be for delay?” Johnson asked, while rubbishing claims it would lead to further escalation or provoke Russian President Vladimir Putin into nuclear retaliation.

In his article written in the Daily Mail, he called the non-admission of Ukraine to the US-led bloc a “decades-long failure to live up to our promise” to Kiev of protection under the “NATO defensive umbrella.”

UK Minister Admits 200 Asylum-Seeking Kids Missing

A Home Office minister has admitted that 200 asylum-seeking children have gone missing after being placed in government-allocated hotels, including at least 13 under the age of 16.

Simon Murray told the House of Lords that his department cannot ensure the children’s locations, but had also rejected offers from NGOs to help ensure their safety.

An earlier media report revealed a Home Office whistleblower had claimed some had been abducted off the street and bundled into unknown cars, with around 10% going missing on a daily basis.
