Zelensky Promises To Fight Ukrainian Corruption

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has pledged to address his country’s chronic problem of corruption after allegations of suspicious military recruitment practices by senior officials.

“There will be no return to what used to be in the past, to the way various people close to state institutions or those who spent their entire lives chasing a chair used to live,” he said. “It will all be fair.”

His promise came after acting minister of regional development Vasyl Lozinsky was reportedly detained for accepting bribes, and Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov allegedly secured food at inflated prices - which he denies.

Secret Ukraine Tanks Meeting Convened By Norweigan Defense Ministry

Norway's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee (DUUFK) met in secret to discuss delivering Leopard tanks to Ukraine, according to Dagbladet newspaper.

The revelation comes after German FM Annalena Baerbock revealed that Berlin “would not stand in the way” of countries wishing to send the German-made tanks to Kiev, a departure from the official stance so far.

The report added that the DUUFK would discuss whether to ask Germany’s permission to do so, while Poland announced its intention to ask Germany to send its Leopard tanks on Monday.

Driver Leads Police on High-Speed Chase, Damages Several Vehicles

St. Petersburg police published a video of a high-speed chase in the Russian city. The cops tried to stop a Porsche Cayenne with no license plates, but the driver hit the gas in an attempt to escape, damaging nine vehicles and a bus stop on the way.
