Mr Martin made the comments in Cork as Varadkar faces backlash from the live entertainment industry here which have described his attendance at a festival โpoor judgementโ and โbad taste.โ
The Taoiseach would not say if he would have travelled to a gig given the pandemic is still ongoing.
He told reporters: โI think what the Tanรกiste does in his private time is a matter for the Tanรกiste.
โI donโt intend to comment one way or the other in relation to that or to any other individual who has their private time to themselves.
โI made my position clear on it.
