All teenagers could be cleared to receive vaccinations against coronavirus within days, after ministers ordered a review that could override the governmentโs immunisation experts who have refused to recommend jabs for healthy 12 to 15-year-olds.
The chief medical officers of the four nations of the UK โ including Englandโs Prof Chris Whitty โ are expected to report as early as next week on whether the educational and social damage of the pandemic to teens should tip the balance in favour of vaccination.

A new report says four cases of the Mu variant of Covid have been identified in Ireland.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has designated the strain as a 'variant of interest' โ but not a 'variant of concern'.
The variant has been recorded in 39 countries so far and health authorities are currently trying to determine whether it is more resistant to vaccination than other strains of coronavirus.
In a statement issued earlier, the WHO said โThe Mu variant has a constellation of mutations that indicate potential properties of immune escape.

When this comes in the school will say just following guidelines like they did with secondary schools. Remember they just want to do their job not protect your kids.
Norma Foley has said that if any โmitigating measuresโ were required in schools with regard to masks for primary pupils, pregnant teachers and C02 monitors, they would be implemented.
Speaking on RTร radioโs Today with Claire Byrne show, Ms Foley said that her department had followed public health advice at all times and if that changed, they would accept and implement new guidelines.
The Minister said that she was awaiting a decision from Niac about the wearing of masks by primary school children, and if any changes were required, they would be implemented.
