โ€˜El Netoโ€™ was shot dead by police after he fled a Mexican jail where he was serving a 244-year sentence

A Mexican cartel kingpin known as โ€˜El Netoโ€™ has been shot dead in the border city of Juarez, four days after a bloody prison break that triggered a police and military manhunt across the northern state of Chihuahua.

โ€˜El Netoโ€™, whose real name was Ernesto Alfredo Pinon de la Cruz, was tracked down to Juarez by an intelligence team in the early hours of Thursday morning, Chihuahua Governor Maru Campos announced. After a shootout with Mexican security forces at his safehouse, he fled in an armored BMW, crashed at a gas station, and was fatally...

In the eighth vote, former minority leader Kevin McCarthy fell 17 votes short of the required 218 to secure the role

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has again failed to unite a majority of the House of Representativshis candidacy for speaker, falling short of the required 218-vote majority on Thursday for two sequential roll calls โ€“ a total of eight losses in three days.

Facing a mutiny from within his party in the form of the pro-Trump House Freedom Caucus, McCarthy was only able to secure 201 votes in the latest contest despite making additional concessions to the dissenters since Wednesdayโ€™s failed votes.

Iran Summons French Ambassador Over โ€˜Disgustingโ€™ Cartoons

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has summoned Parisโ€™ ambassador to the country over cartoons in a French magazine that insulted both the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the nationโ€™s religious practices. Though the ministry did not name the magazine, it was apparently referring to Charlie Hebdo, which is notorious for satirical attacks on Islam.

In a statement on Wednesday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said Ambassador Nicolas Roche had been summoned and that a โ€œa strong protestโ€ had been filed with the French government. He added that Tehran would not โ€œaccept any insult to Islamic as well as its national and religious values.โ€

McDonaldโ€™s To Leave Another Ex-Soviet Country โ€” Bloomberg

McDonaldโ€™s may soon exit the former Soviet republic of Kazakhstan due to anti-Russia sanctions, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The Central Asian country has not joined the US and its allies in embargoing Moscow over the conflict in Ukraine. However, the American fast-food chain reportedly prohibited its franchisee in Kazakhstan from buying frozen beef patties from Russia.

The franchisee, TOO Food Solutions KZ, suspended operations at 24 restaurants in November, citing supply issues. Importing meat from Europe would cost too much, according to Bloombergโ€™s sources โ€“ who would not speak on record. McDonaldโ€™s would not comment on the matter. It was likewise not possible to source the meat locally, for reasons that were not specified.

Amazon To Boot Thousands Of US Workers โ€” CEO

US e-commerce giant Amazon will fire over 18,000 employees in the coming weeks, CEO Andy Jassy said in a message to employees published on Amazonโ€™s website on Thursday.

According to Jassy, this โ€œdifficultโ€ decision was made as part of planning for 2023 amid โ€œthe uncertain economy,โ€ and aims to โ€œhelp us pursue our long-term opportunities with a stronger cost structure.โ€

โ€œWe plan to eliminate just over 18,000 roles. Several teams are impacted; however, the majority of role eliminations are in our Amazon Stores and PXT organizations,โ€ the message read. Jassy said the company will start notifying impacted employees of their layoffs on January 18.

The firings will largely impact the companyโ€™s e-commerce and human resources divisions, he added.

Jewish Masonry has now completely subverted the Catholic Church.

In 1936, two Catholic newspapers published excerpts from speeches given at a B'nai Brith conclave in Paris. The speeches expressed contempt for Freemasons'  gullibility, cravenness, and venality.
"And the Gentiles, in their stupidity, have proved easier dupes than we expected them to be.  One would expect more intelligence and more practical common sense, but they are no better than a herd of sheep. Let them graze in our fields till they become fat enough to be worthy of being immolated to our future King of the World..."
