German Defense Chief Slammed Over ‘Inappropriate’ Message On Ukraine

Germany’s defense minister, Christine Lambrecht, has been roundly criticized after publishing a New Year’s Eve greeting in which she touched upon the ongoing conflict in Ukraine against the backdrop of festive fireworks in Berlin. The message was broadly slammed as an “embarrassment” and prompted opposition politicians and some journalists to call for her resignation.

“A war is raging in the middle of Europe,” the minister says at one point, without even mentioning Russia or Ukraine. Lambrecht then goes on to say that over the past year she has had “many encounters with interesting and great people” and has received “many special impressions” in connection to the ongoing conflict. “I would like to say a heartfelt thank you for that,” she adds.

A top NASA official has done his bit to ease surging anxiety over rising house prices, by suggesting that we might soon have more real estate to utilize.

Program manager Howard Hu, recently involved in the the Artemis lunar mission, has clamed that living on the Moon will ‘certainly’ happen this decade.

‘We are going to be sending people down to the surface, they are going to be living there on the surface and doing science,’ Hu said.

The Artemis program will see the eventual construction of the Lunar Gateway – a new space station where astronauts will be able to live and work. It doesn’t mention condos and a Starbucks yet, but we’re sure that part’s coming.

US Schools Are ‘Cesspool Of Marxist Indoctrination’ — Senator

The Republican Party must support governors and school-board members who are fighting to prevent US educational institutions from becoming a “cesspool of Marxist indoctrination,” Senator Marco Rubio has said.

“Dangerous academic constructs like critical race theory and radical gender theory are being forced on elementary school children,” Rubio wrote in an article published in the American Conservative magazine on Tuesday.

The party needs to provide “reinforcements” to Republican governors and school-board members who are fighting against such ideas being taught to students, he said.
