Dr Tom Black, who chairs the British Medical Association in Northern Ireland, told the News Letter medics are hoping to get this year’s flu vaccine and coronavirus booster vaccine roll-outs started in September.

He also revealed that doctors fear a “big outbreak” of flu this winter could be coupled with another surge in coronavirus infections, along with other respiratory illnesses that often circulate in winter.

Dr Black said there are “a lot of unknowns” with the flu this year, with coronavirus lockdowns around the world having driven usual influenza infections rates down.

Mainstream Media finally Admit - Having Previous Covid Prevents Delta Infection Better Than the Jab ‼️


People who recovered from a bout of Covid-19 during one of the earlier waves of the pandemic appear to have a lower risk of contracting the delta variant than those who got two doses of the vaccine from Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE.

The largest real-world analysis comparing natural immunity -- gained from an earlier infection -- to the protection provided by one of the most potent vaccines currently in use showed that reinfections were much less common. The paper from researchers in Israel contrasts with earlier studies, which showed that immunizations offered better protection than an earlier infection, though those studies were not of the delta variant.

Freedom but introducing vaccine certs into other sectors & more discrimination coming.

The Taoiseach has signalled the country will be free of the majority of Covid restrictions in three weeks as he gave details of the roadmap to freedom.

Micheál Martin indicated that the week beginning September 20 will see most sectors reopen, with all remaining restrictions lifted in October, including the reopening of nightclubs.

The use of vaccination certificates for theatres is also under consideration as well as other indoor activities like bowling and bingo. The Taoiseach pledged that September would be ‘significant’ in terms of the planned easing of restrictions with Communions and Confirmations among the first things allowed to resume.

SPANISH SUPREME COURT RULES VACCINE PASSPORTS ILLEGAL FOR BARS/RESTAURANTS 

Amidst the wall to wall coverage of all things Covid, consumers of mainstream media will have missed one of the most significant recent decisions within the EU countries. That was the ruling by the Spanish Supreme Court on August 18 that the imposition of vaccination passports by the regional government of Andalusia was unconstitutional.

The ruling states that insufficient evidence had been presented to justify the requirement for vaccine certification in order to enter bars and nightclubs. The court stated that the restriction endangers “basic elements of freedoms of movement and the right of assembly.”

The Spanish Supreme Court did not confine its judgement solely to the strictly constitutional aspects of enforcing such passports, but went on to state that using them to restrict entry into public spaces.
