Speaking on his show this morning, The RTร‰ presenter said he was on the street in Dรบn Laoghaire when two young men in their twenties shouted at him on two separate occasions, calling him a โ€œf****tโ€, and a โ€œpaedophileโ€.

โ€œA young guy of about 25 or 26, Iโ€™d say he spends a fair amount of time in the gym and as he passed by, he said, โ€˜Tubridy you f****tโ€™,โ€ Tubridy said.

FLOGAS โ€” one of the countryโ€™s largest electricity and gas providers โ€” has announced that it will increase its prices by 18 per cent next month.

Flogas revealed they will up their prices from September 18, with a โ‚ฌ3.38 weekly increase on gas and โ‚ฌ4.75 on electricity.

An emergency vaccine was made in less than a year. Now 3 vaccines are put into people in the space of a few months.

The Minister for Health has said the National Immunisation Advisory Committee has advised for Covid-19 booster shots to begin to be administered from late next month or early October.

Stephen Donnelly said the advise from NIAC is for boosters to be given around the same time as the flu shot.

"That would normally happen around the last week of September, [or] first week of October," Mr Donnelly said.

He said timelines are being worked on to roll out the vaccination booster programme.

A group of parents and teachers have called for the mandatory wearing of face masks in primary schools.

Pupils should also be given the option of remote learning and each classroom should have a Hepa (high-efficiency particulate absorbing) filter as well as a CO2 monitor, Parents United said.
