US Has Lost Global Leadership In Nuclear Power โ IAEA Chief
The US is no longer the leader in the civilian nuclear energy industry, having lost its place to Russia and China, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi has said.
Grossi made his comments while speaking at a conference held by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIP) think tank on Friday.
CEIP President Mariano-Florentino Cuellar asked him whether the US civilian nuclear industry can regain prominence, considering that โthe US is not the same economic player in commercial nuclear technologyโ as Russia and China.

Weโre in a strange moment when advocating for negotiations toward peace in Ukraine is dismissed as not only wrongheaded but morally wrong. Weโre told that only Ukraine can determine its future, and that one must not appease a dictator (Putin), but in the same breath weโre told that peace will only come when Russia is totally defeated by force of arms, with the main arms supplier being the United States. New Chip Transmits Entire Internetโs Traffic In Less Than A Second
Hard drives everywhere cried out in pain as scientists announced a breakthrough in network speed. The gigaboffins over at the Technical University of Denmark (which is, technically, a university in Denmark) have used a new kind of โphotonic chipโ to transmit data at a whopping 1.84 petabits per second, a record for a single chip, and nearly double the bandwidth of the entire internet. All this through just a tiny fiber optic cable.
Unlike other fiber optic transmission methods, this new chip splits the datastream into multiple colors, 37 to be exact, which themselves are then split again into 223 different frequencies of light. By carefully selecting the frequencies, the scientists were able to broadcast multiple chunks of data in parallel, achieving ludicrous speeds. The speed is so great that not even Hunter Bid...
