Chinese Scientists Claim They Can โHackโ Birdsโ Brains
Get those tinfoil hats at the ready, because Chinese scientists are taking over the airwaves and the brainwaves with a solar-powered bird brain hacking device.
The Chinese eggheads successfully reprogrammed a pigeon to follow human commands and could be powered by a solar panel strapped to its back. Previous attempts were limited to 45 minutes due to the pigeon running out of batteries. Apparently, power was the barrier to assuming full control over pigeons.
Why are they doing this, you ask? Not just for annoying tourists. The pigeons could be programmed as spies, carrying intelligence-gathering equipment. They could also be used to deliver messages, although to be fair that was invented quite a while ago.

At least 149 people were killed and 150 injured in a crowd stampede in the South Korean capital of Seoul on Saturday night during Halloween celebrations, the local fire department has disclosed.
The incident occurred in the narrow alley near the Hamilton Hotel in the Itaewon District, the most international area of the city, which is close to the Yongsan Garrison US military base.
Local media quoted an eyewitness who said the area had become so crowded that rescuers could not immediately get to the victims and attempt resuscitation.
