โ๏ธKiev Seeks To Tear Russia Apart โ Head of Ukrainian Intelligence
The head of Ukraineโs intel service and suspected organizer of the Crimea Bridge terrorist attack has told local media of Kievโs plans to strip Russia of territory and force Moscow to pay for reparations.
According to Kirill Budanov, this would cause Ukraineโs economy to dwarf Russiaโs. The intelligence czar also expressed his desire to see the Donbass Republics, as well as Zaporozhye, Kherson and Crimea annexed by Kievโs forces.
The officialโs comments come as the highly-publicized Ukrainian โcounteroffensiveโ halted and Russia began targeting energy infrastructure with precision-guided weapons in response to the Kerch Bridge attacks.

US May Sell More Oil Reserves This Week
President Joe Biden is considering selling off the remaining 14mn barrels of the federally mandated 180mn barrel sale from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve this week in a bid to manipulate oil prices ahead of the midterms, sources claim.
The White House has also urged oil companies to sell an extra 26mn barrels to tackle high gas prices after OPEC+ pledged to cut production by 2mn barrels/day, despite Bidenโs pleas for the contrary.
The Department of Energy has already begun negotiations to buy back oil to restock the SPR through 2025, which now stands at its lowest levels in almost four decades.

Mass strikes across France began as trade unions dig their heels in over pay disputes, leaving the energy sector crippled with an estimated 2.2 gigawatt reduction in power output.
The CGT union is holding out for a 10% pay rise for its Total Energies members, citing inflation and the energy giantโs soaring profits, despite the company agreeing a 7% increase with other unions.
French government spokesperson Olivier Veran has said more requisitions of staff could be imposed, which workers claim cuts their democratic right to strike.

Moscow Reiterates Denial of Iranian Drone Use Against Kiev
On Tuesday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov repeated a denial of reports that had suggested Moscow was using Iranian-supplied drones to attack Ukraine, insisting all Russian military hardware has Russian designation.
Multiple drones were reported over Kiev on Monday, with the Ukrainian capitalโs mayor Vitaly Klitschko confirming five explosions from the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
The drones, designated Geran-2 in Russia, are allegedly a localized version of the Iranian-made Shahed-136. Last week President Vladimir Zelensky claimed Moscow had received as many as 2,400 Iranian Shahed UAVs, which neither Moscow nor Tehran has confirmed.

The survey, which was conducted on October 17-18, revealed that 32% of respondents would like Johnson to return as prime minister, despite a series of scandals and cabinet resignations that precipitated his eventual departure.
โThose who voted for Truss to take over are particularly keen on a Boris Johnson return if she left: 44% put him top of their list of potential successors,โ the pollsters noted.

Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon told in an interview that Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) is not yet going to compensate pre-depeg UST holders, as stated earlier in May by him and LFG.
Do Kwon said that at the moment, LFG is not in a position to dispose of its assets and compensate users. A civil suit against LFG is pending and it is not yet clear how long this process will take. Until it is over and all legal issues are resolved, "we just are not able to distribute tokens."
Do Kwon emphasized that distributing 313 BTC to pre-depeg UST holders would be more of a "goodwill effort." However, it is "definitely not a refund." Nor will Do Kwon use his personal funds to compensate affected holders.

Russia's special operation chief has announced that Ukraine is preparing a large-scale offensive on Kherson, but has warned that peaceful cities and villages may turn to battlefields.
General Surovkin also mentioned that Kiev's Armed Forces plan to use "prohibited means of war" - in part planning to destroy a nearby dam. For that reason civilians will be moved from the region.
โThese actions can lead to the destruction of the infrastructure of this large industrial centre and massive casualties among the civilian population,โ Surovkin said.
