The US will fail in its attempts to incite unrest and meddle in Iranโ€™s domestic affairs, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has said. His statement comes after US President Joe Biden backed the anti-government protests across the Islamic Republic.

Protests and clashes with police erupted last month after a 22-year-old woman named Mahsa Amini died in custody after being detained by Iranโ€™s morality police in Tehran for wearing an โ€œinappropriateโ€ headscarf. Her family claimed that she had been tortured.

US Senators Propose Punishment For Major Ally

US weapons should be withdrawn from Saudi Arabia as punishment for oil output cuts, announced last week by the de-facto leader of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Democratic lawmakers have said.

โ€œFor several years, the US military has deployed Patriot missile defense batteries to Saudi Arabia to help defend oil infrastructure against missile and drone attacks,โ€ a statement reads.

Elon Musk Discovers Ukraineโ€™s โ€˜Kill Listโ€™

Elon Musk has expressed concern over a controversial website that lists the supposed enemies of Ukraine, amid claims that his own name briefly appeared on the site, Mirotvorets, following his threat to cut funding for Starlink satellite internet services, which are actively used by Ukrainian troops.

โ€œIs this list real? Whatโ€™s the URL?โ€ the SpaceX CEO tweeted in response to independent journalist Eva Bartlett, who shared a viral screenshot on Friday that claims to show his name added to the notorious database.

โ€œIโ€™ve been speaking and writing about this list for years, after being placed on it in 2019, but now that Musk is on it, after Roger Waters and others, perhaps the โ€˜peacemakerโ€™ list might itself be killed,โ€ Bartlett wrote.

Nazi-Era โ€˜Wonder Weaponโ€™ Comparison Lands Top German Official In Trouble

Critics of the German government, who want Berlin to supply battle tanks to Ukraine, might be suffering from a Nazi-era โ€œwonder weaponโ€ syndrome, Chancellor Olaf Scholzโ€™s chief of staff has stated, sparking a barrage of criticism from fellow politicians.

โ€œSometimes I am tempted to call it the โ€˜V-2 syndromeโ€™, that we think there is this wonder weapon that will make things go away,โ€ Wolfgang Schmidt said earlier this week.

He was referring to the V-2 rocket developed by the Nazis during the Second World War and dubbed the โ€œvengeance weapon.โ€ It was used in strikes against London, Antwerp and Liege that resulted in the deaths of thousands of civilians, according to some estimates.
