Reshuffle on the Cards in Chinese Communist Party Congress - The Premier Contenders:

Many are expecting Xi Jinping to stay on as Gen Sec at the once-in-five-years event - but the deck might be stacked differently in other key positions of leadership, especially with No.2 leader Li Keqiang stepping down in March.

โ–ช๏ธ Experts believe economic expertise could see Wang Yang or Hu Chunhua appointed Premier to the Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) in the wake of instability in the economy - both being trusted Xi loyalists.

โ–ช๏ธ Li Qiang - a less experienced hand - could be appointed - but his harsh 2-month Covid lockdown has tarnished his reputation somewhat.

โ–ช๏ธ Han Zheng is another outside muted - but his 68 years might hamper his chances since premiers are typically no older than 67.

โ€œWhat? Some uppity foreigner in a T-shirt demanding money for his โ€˜critical economic needsโ€™? We have critical economic needs too, buddy. Who are you, troll? Go away!โ€ Carlson said, responding to the request.

The actress has filed a 16-point argument claiming jurors were misled into believing she was on trial for statements prior to her domestic abuse allegations - and there was a lack of "clear and convincing evidence" to meet a defamation case standard.

Heard - who owes Depp $10.3 million in damages - states the awards are "inherently and irreconcilably inconsistent" - with Depp only needing to pay $2 million to his ex-wife.

JPMorgan Chase CEO Warns Of Major Drop in US Stock Market

The US stock market will drop another 30% due to a severe recession that is looming, according to the boss of Wall Street banking giant JPMorgan Chase, Jamie Dimon, as cited by Bloomberg.

Dimon expects the Federal Reserve to raise the key interest rate higher than the 4 - 4.5% level many analysts have predicted so far, due to persisting inflation stemming from the lasting effects of the pandemic and soaring energy prices.

โ€œI donโ€™t know if it could be a soft landing - I donโ€™t think so, but it might,โ€ Dimon said at a conference in Washington DC on Thursday, according to the agency. โ€œIn a tough recession, you could expect the market to go down another 20% to 30%,โ€ he added.
