US Beats Russia in UN Telecoms Agency Race

Following a vote in the United Nations, American Doreen Bogdan-Martin will be heading the International Telecommunication Union over Russia’s Rashid Ismailov.

139 countries voted for the US candidate against 25 votes for the Russian one.

Bogdan-Martin will replace China's Houlin Zhao to tackle issues like worldwide internet connectivity and telecoms companies’ behavior.
