Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial military mobilization last week.

Reservists continue to gather in military commissariats at Kemerovo and Sevastopol, as well as in other towns and cities around the country, where they're being equipped then sent for additional training.

Sterling Slides Again Amid Truss Tax Talks

Following Wednesday's brief bounce from the currency's ongoing decline after Bank of England intervention, the pound dropped 1% after new PM Liz Truss defended her tax cuts in the media.

The chaos also comes as a result of last week's mini-budget - which resulted in falls against the dollar and euro, and prompted the Bank of England to buy ยฃ65 million of bonds to combat what it calls the "dysfunction" in the market.
