Sterling Slides Again Amid Truss Tax Talks
Following Wednesday's brief bounce from the currency's ongoing decline after Bank of England intervention, the pound dropped 1% after new PM Liz Truss defended her tax cuts in the media.
The chaos also comes as a result of last week's mini-budget - which resulted in falls against the dollar and euro, and prompted the Bank of England to buy £65 million of bonds to combat what it calls the "dysfunction" in the market.
