Russia Cuts Reliance on Boeing & Airbus

Engineering corporation Rostec said Wednesday that the Russian aviation industry will go it alone without relying on Boeing and Airbus by building 1,000 airliners with locally built parts by 2030.

"From this year, we don't rely on international cooperation with Western countries," Rostec said in a written statement. "We believe that this process is irreversible and Boeing and Airbus planes will never be delivered to Russia.โ€

About half of components and technology used throughout the Russian aviation industry in 2021 originated from foreign countries according to government documents.
