❗️Kherson Residential Building Struck by Ukrainian Missiles

Ukrainian forces have launched a missile attack on a residential university building in the center of Kherson according to the region’s Ministry of Health, with emergency services reporting some victims.

"Another terrorist act by Kiev’s authorities. There are civilians in the rubble. Paramedics are providing all emergency medical care they can,” the Minister of Health of the Kherson region said.

Cuba Knocked Completely Offline by Hurricane Ian Devastation

The entire decades-old electrical grid collapsed throughout Cuba on Tuesday in the wake of Hurricane Ian’s powerful 120mph (195kmph) maximum winds.

Authorities had already cut power to Pinar del Rio province’s 850,000 citizens as a precaution before Ian made landfall early Tuesday and evacuated 40,000 people from danger, but two people were still killed by the category 3 storm.

Ian is now expected to intensify as it bears down on Florida’s Tampa area Wednesday and Thursday with 130mph (209kmph) maximum gusts and up to 60cm of rain.

Fighter Jet Escort for Bomb Hoax Singapore Airlines Flight

Two Singapore Air Force fighter jets were scrambled to escort a Singapore Airlines flight arriving at Changi Airport from San Francisco after a passenger made a hoax bomb threat on Wednesday.

Teams from the army’s chemical, biological, radiological and explosives defense group were mobilized after a 37-year-old passenger claimed a bomb was in his carry-on.

The suspect was restrained onboard before being handed over to police, having allegedly assaulted the crew on the 16-hour flight.
