Dozens of Imran Khan supporters gathered outside Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's hotel in New York, ahead of the UN General Assembly session.
The protesters demanded lifting the charges against Khan and the resignation of Sharif's government, accusing it of corruption and mismanagement of the flood crisis in the country.

RT's Murad Gazdiev surveys the aftermath of a strike by Kiev Forces, "As you can see there's not much left of the room I was sleeping in."
A camera operator on Murad's team was left under sprawling under concrete slabs, but miraculously survived and was barely injured.
The crew helped others away from danger on their way out the remains of the building. The shelling also damaged vehicles in the adjacent car park.

The building was reportedly hit by a HIMARS strike.
Preliminary data suggests two rockets were fired at the hotel, but one was taken out.
RT's Murad Gazdiev and the crew have been helping remove people still stuck. Two have been killed, including a local politician.
Murad earlier explained that if Washington gives the go-ahead on such strikes... they have apparently targeted officials and journalists.

Russian soldiers who voluntarily surrender face jail
Russian service members who “voluntarily surrender” to enemy forces during an armed conflict will now face up to ten years behind bars upon returning home, according to new legislation signed by President Vladimir Putin on Saturday.
The new addition to the country’s penal code stipulates that the most lenient sentence that could be meted out for such an infraction is three years.
However, the law allows first-time offenders to avoid punishment if they flee from captivity and return to their unit.

North Korea has test-fired a short-range ballistic missile ahead of US Vice President Kamala Harris’ trip to the region, Seoul says.
The projectile, launched from around Taechon in North Korea’s northwest, traveled around 600km (373 miles) before landing in the Sea of Japan, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said.
The news comes ahead of Harris’ visit to South Korea and Japan, and the planned US-South Korean joint naval exercise. The VP will embark on an Asian tour next week.
