Tribunal of Genocidal Regime Ends after 16 Years in Cambodia
An international UN-backed trial of the Khmer Rouge regime has finally ended after 16 years and $337 million to convict just three men.
The tribunalโs final session on Thursday was gathered to reject an appeal by Khieu Samphan, the last surviving leader of the government, believed to have caused 1.7 million deaths in the 1970s.
Khmer Rouge, also known as the Communist Party of Kampuchea, ruled Cambodia between 1975 and 1979, and was found guilty of genocide, mass killings and other human rights violations.

Canada Braces for Battering from Hurricane Fiona
The storm - which has already killed 8, and knocked out power for 3.3m people in Puerto Rico - is stalking its way north towards Nova Scotia after threatening Bermuda.
Windows were boarded up and groceries and batteries were stockpiled by panicked Bermudans as the territory was hit by pounding rain, vicious winds and storm surges.
Fiona looks to be one of the worst storms in Canada's history and will likely track along Nova Scotia before tearing through Newfoundland and Labrador over the weekend.

The USS Ronald Reagan and its strike group has docked in Busan ahead of joint drills with South Korean forces, and in an apparent show of force to Pyongyang.
It is the first time an aircraft carrier has arrived in South Korean waters in 4 years, and is the most significant deployment yet as Washington seeks to increase numbers of its "strategic assets" in the area to ward off the North.
The US announced the visit as a way for the crew to volunteer at orphanages and sample the K-pop music scene - and made no mention of North Korea. "We are leaving messaging to diplomats," Rear Admiral Michael Donnelly told reporters.

Scandals seem to follow Prince Andrew everywhere he goes, with the latest claiming he colluded with Princess Diana and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson to skip Prince William to the front of the queue for the crown, according to an explosive new book titled Queen Consort Camilla.
Andrew allegedly lobbied the Queen and campaigned against Charles and Camilla's marriage, arguing she was not trustworthy.
"His behavior was very, very negative and extremely unpleasant to Queen [Elizabeth], who disagreed. I was told it was one of the rare occasions he didn't get his way," said a palace insider. "He was apparently very angry that he couldn't rule the country in some way".

The cars may not detect obstructions in windows, meaning fingers or hands may get caught, posing a violation of federal motor vehicle safety standards.
"Greater than expected variations in response to pinch detection" were reported by the company when conducting safety tests, leading to the call for 2017-2022 Model 3s, 2020-2021 Model Ys, and the 2021-2022 Model S and Model X series.
The news comes as Musk hopes to get his self-driving cars 'in wide release' in the US and Europe by the end of 2022.
